OnTrackMedia Indonesia (OTMI) is a local NGO that specializes in public awareness campaigns and media training. Our team is made up of seasoned TV and radio journalists and producers that work to international standards. Our combination of BBC and European consultants, with extensive experience in Indonesia and highly trained Indonesian professionals offers quality results.

The senior Indonesian producers and crews were hand-picked from national TV stations to work on a five year “training of trainers” program at the PJTV training centre at the University of Indonesia. They are now recognized as top professionals in the country.

OTMI has provided production, media training and strategies for UNICEF, American Red Cross, United States Centers for Disease Control, United Nations Foundation, World Health Organization, European Union, British Council, USAID/ACILS/ICMC, Channel 4 (UK), CARITAS, IFRC, NDI, TIFA Foundation and DIKNAS as well as providing journalism and anti human trafficking courses across Indonesia.

OTMI was established to meet the needs of an anti-human trafficking public awareness campaign created for ACILS (American Centre for International Labor Solidarity) and ICMC (International Catholic Migration Commission) funded by USAID. The project included the production of 4 videos, development of a curriculum manual and the creation of the website stoptrafiking.or.id.

This campaign kit was the central theme of a training curriculum which was provided to hundreds of NGO’s creating teams of facilitators who continue to train others about human trafficking. The course is currently being delivered through the scout movement to millions of vulnerable youngsters. This pyramid style video training initiative was nominated as one of the world’s Best Practices in the U.S State Department Trafficking in Persons (TIP) report in June 2006 by The Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

OTMI has continued to produce creative productions, journalism and organization training and media strategies to meet its objective of creating a permanent local media NGO to help educate and inform the people of Indonesia about important issues that affect their lives.
